Bible scholars report there are more than 300 Prophecies concerning the first and second advents, of Jesus Christ in the Old Testament.
The following prophecy occurred, came to pass about 33A.D, the first Palm Sunday, Mathew 21:1-17, Luke 19:30-44, Daniel 9:24-27, LXX-Psalm 8:3, MT-Psalm 8:2
The First Advent:
Zechariah chapter 9:
9*Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; He is just and endowed with salvation, Humble, and mounted on a donkey, Even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
The Second Advent:
The yet future world Dominion of Jesus Christ will last for 1000 years and be replaced by the “Kingdom of God”, the eternal kingdom.
Zechariah chapter 9:
10*And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem and the bow of war will be cut off and He will speak peace to the nations and His dominion will be from sea to sea, And from the River to the ends of the earth.
A Calvary Prophecy:
Psalm 22:
14*I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It is melted within me.
15*My strength is dried up like a potsherd, And my tongue cleaves to my jaws; And You lay me in the dust of death.
16*For dogs have surrounded me; A band of evildoers has encompassed me; They pierced my hands and my feet.
17*I can count all my bones. They look, they stare at me;
18*They divide my garments among them and for my clothing they cast lots, John 19:23-24.
COMMENTARY
Psalm 22 is a prophecy from a Psalm of King David of Israel recorded about 1000 years before Christ Jesus who is the humanity of Jesus Christ and the Heir and Great grandson of King David through the mother of Jesus who is the virgin Mary.
At the second coming of Jesus Christ He will set on the throne of His great grandfather King David in Jerusalem for 1000 years in which the resolution of the rebellion against God will be resolved ending at the “Great White Throne” judgment.
All of the redeemed of all of the ages will move to eternal bliss with those opposing who are the unredeemed being eternally isolated in the “Lake of Fire”.
This is absolutely imperative as those who deny God would if allowed destroy the creation BY GREED, THEFT AND EGO CENTRICITY. This is not about intellect but it is about will, volition, see Roman’s chapter one.
Evil is temporarily profitable for some but if unchecked would destroy the creation. We are all in God’s “Show and Tell” program and we are in a lab situation where we see, experience the down side of Evil.
