EXPLICIT BIBLE TRUTH
Jesus
Who is he
What is he
Why is he
Isaiah 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: KJV
Matthew 7:8 For everyone who keeps asking will receive, and the person who keeps searching will find, and the person who keeps knocking will have the door opened. ISV
Romans 5:19 For as through the one man’s disobedience (Adam) the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One (man, Christ Jesus) the many will be made righteous (righteousness is the gift of God, Rom. 3:21-24, Eph. 2:8-10, ISV, KJV).
TODAY’S Comments
“God’s Grace”
Ephesians 2:1 You used to be dead because of your offenses and sins,
Ephesians 2:2 in which you once lived according to the ways of this present world and according to the ruler (Prince, Satan) of the power of the air, the spirit that is now active in those who are disobedient.
Ruler (Prince) here means having control over. The Ruler (Prince) of the power of the air is Satan. Air here is Aer in the Greek and probably is a reference to Hurricanes, Cyclones, flooding , etc;
Where we see this exhibited is in Job 1:6-19 as well as other calamity, see also Acts 10:38.
The word translated power is “exousia” in the Greek which is also in Ephesians 1:21 where God has committed all power (exousia) to Christ. The combined meaning here is that Satan is the source of calamity here on Earth whereas the “Body of Christ, the Church” here on Earth is protected by the head of the body of Christ who is Christ Jesus, Ephesians 1:22-23. Satan has no direct authority over the Church. Many Saints have died while promoting the Gospel and others died the sin unto death for there ungodly life styles. Antipas died at the hands of the ungodly, Rev 2:13 apparently to test the remaining saints who probably should have removed certain people from the Church but did not.
None of these people died without the express consent of Christ Jesus the head of the âBody of Christâ, the Church. This is probably about cleansing and training for the âBody of Christâ, the Church. There is no contest here but rather a process that will continue until completion.
So Why does God tolerate Satan? Our grand parents in the Garden of Eden made a decision to disobey God’s word and eat from the forbidden tree. Having only experienced righteousness they were ignorant of the experiencial consequences of unrighteousness which we see everyday, Genesis 3:22. God is not capable of promoting evil, Titus 1:2 therefore, Satan is temporarly useful. Apparently living under and rejecting evil is necessary for our completeness, Romans 5:3-5. The administration of the world we live in today is evil and will remain so until Jesus Christ returns to rescue Planet Earth.
Christ Jesus has not yet taken authority in the Earth and will not until His second coming.
When Christ returns to planet earth Satan will be locked in prison for 1000 years and planet earth will be full of physical prosparity.
Church discipline: 1Corinthians 5:1-5, 1Corinthians 11:26-32 Hebrews 12:3-8.
It is important to understand that Satan is a spirit who has historically temporarily inhabited different life forms/bodies beginning with the serpent in Genesis chapter 3 and human form such as Judas Iscariot who is called the âSon of Perditionâ, John 17:12 and 2Thessalonians 2:3-4 who is Satan in the Anti-Christ.
Ephesians 2:3 Indeed, all of us once behaved like them in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of our flesh and senses. By nature we deserved wrath, just like everyone else.
Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love for us
Ephesians 2:5 even when we were dead because of our offenses, made us alive (Spiritually alive) together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
The Greek here indicates that this is a permanent status for the redeemed with the âSpirit of Godâ in permanent residence in each of us, John 14:16-18.
Ephesians 2:6 raised us up with him (this is positional sanctification meaning we are literally in the âBody of Christ the Churchâ), and seated us with him in the heavenly realm in Christ Jesus.(âinâ here can be translated âbyâ meaning: âBy means ofâ Christ Jesus who is the head of the âBody of Christ, the Churchâ, Colossians 1:16-18)
Ephesians 2:7 so that in the coming ages He might display the limitless riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. (âinâ here can be translated âbyâ meaning: âby means of Christ Jesusâ).
Ephesians 2:8 For by such grace you have been saved through faith (faith in the Righteous God). This does not come from you; it is the gift of God (the righteousness of Jesus Christ is the âGift of Godâ to the redeemed, Romans 3:23-25)
Ephesians 2:9 and not the result of works (works of righteousness by means of the Law), lest anyone boast.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus (by means of Christ Jesus, the head of the “Body of Christ, the Church”) for good works that God prepared long ago to be our way of life.
At our personal death or the âRapture of the Church, the Body of Christâ which ever comes first, we will be minus the flesh âthis body of deathâ, Romans 7:24-25, and we will be 100% righteous. Godâs work in our Soul, 1Peter 1:9 using our regenerated Spirit in union with Christ Jesus will be complete, Romans 8:29-30, 1Corinthians 1:8-10. At the Rapture of the Church we will receive our new permanent body, Romans 8:23.
