   EXPLICIT BIBLE TRUTH
Jesus
Who is he
What is he
Why is he

Isaiah 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line,  line upon line; here a little, and there a little: KJV
Matthew 7:8 For everyone who keeps asking will receive, and the person who keeps searching will find, and the person who keeps knocking will have the door opened. ISV
Romans 5:19 For as through the one man’s disobedience (Adam) the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One (man, Christ Jesus) the many will be made righteous (righteousness is the gift of God, Rom. 3:21-24, Eph. 2:8-10, ISV, KJV).

 “HOLINESS”

1 Timothy chapter 2

1Ti 2:1 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers,
     intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people,

1Ti 2:2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.

1Ti 2:3 This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior,

1Ti 2:4 who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

1Ti 2:6 who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.

1Ti 2:7 For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

1Ti 2:8 I desire then that in every place (every Church) the men (Greek “aner” means males) should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling;

Holy hands are hands without anger or quarreling:

2Corinthians chapter 12:20-21

2Co 12:20 For I fear that perhaps when I come I may find you not as I wish, and that you may find me not as you wish–that perhaps there may be quarreling, jealousy, anger, hostility, slander, gossip, conceit, and disorder.

2Co 12:21 I fear that when I come again my God may humble me before you, and I may have to mourn over many of those who sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, sexual immorality, and sensuality that they have practiced.

1Ti 2:9 likewise (I desire) also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire,

1Ti 2:10 but with what is proper for women who profess godliness–with good works.

The following has to do with the authority of the husband over the wife

from the standpoint of what God made the human race to be, that

is; the head of the husband is Christ and the head of the wife

is the husband, and the head of Christ is God, 1Corinthians 11:3.

So where do unmarried women; widows, divorced, and virgins fit in here? The Greek word for woman is “gune” and can be translated woman or wife depending on the context but means female gender.

1Ti 2:11 Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness.

1Ti 2:12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man (Greek “aner” means male); rather, she is to remain quiet (when the Church is assembled).

1Ti 2:13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve;

1Ti 2:14 and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.

1Ti 2:15 (1A) Yet she (Eve, the transgressor) will be saved through childbearing–(1B) if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control.

In part 1A, “She” is a reference to Eve the wife of Adam who also transgressed, see: 1Timothy 2:14 above, and is also a reference to Genesis 3:15-16 a prophecy concerning the birth of Jesus the Messiah of Israel and savior of the world.

The singular pronoun “she” changes to the plural pronoun “they” in part 1B and is referring to the offspring of the woman and also reflects Genesis 4:1 to show that God has assigned woman the very special task of child bearing and nurturing but the offspring may or may not be Godly. Cain, Eve’s first born murdered his younger second born brother probably bringing much grief to his mother but she had Godly children as well.

The task of women is and always has been child bearing. The husband and wife are a team with the husband being head of the family but they work together for God’s purpose of procreation and companionship raising their children to live Godly.

1Ti 5:14 Therefore, I desire the young women/young widows to marry, to bear children, to rule the house, giving no occasion to the adversary (the ungodly) on account of reproach (slandering).
Some women may prefer to stay single which has many advantages, 1Corinthians 7:8-9
