“Jesus Christ the God-man”

John 1:18 No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten God, (God the Word, John 1:1,14) who is in the bosom of the Father (at the time of this writing), He has explained Him.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
John 14:7 If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you do know Him, and have seen Him, Hebrews 1:2-3.

Seeing the man Jesus of Nazareth face to face in the flesh, who is our King, would be very pleasant but would not benefit us unless He talked to us.
What we have today is the “Holy Spirit” and the written “Word of God” the Bible which has the same authority as the spoken “Word of God”. 1stPeter 1:25, Hebrews 4:12, Acts 24:14.
Reading, examining the Bible puts us “face to face” with God having the “Holy Spirit” as our teacher.

Exodus 33:11 Thus the LORD, Jehovah used to speak to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend.
Moses who recorded the Torah (the 1st 5 books of the Bible as dictated by God) lived about 1250 years B.C)
1stCorinthians 13:12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.

The Apostle Paul under inspiration of the Spirit of God is looking forward in time to the completion of the Church age Scriptures. This occurred with the Apostle John recording the last inspired book of the Bible, the Revelation, in about 97A.D, after the death of the Apostle Paul. 1stCorinthians 2:9-10

The Apostle Paul or the Apostle John and other writers of the Bible were human vessels through which God communicated truth. 1Corinthians 15:10,11, 2ndPeter 1:20, Hebrews 1:1-3.

Gifted teachers of the Bible, with maturity, who have the Holy Spirit should be able to explain many of the nuts and bolts of Christianity with illumination of the “Word of God” from the Spirit of God. Bible study is a major factor here, 2ndTimothy 2:15.

2Peter 2:1 But false prophets were also among the people (Israel), as also false teachers will be among you (the local Church), who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, and denying the Master who has bought them, bringing swift destruction on themselves.
2Peter 2:2 And many will follow their destructive ways, by whom the way of truth will be evil spoken of.

The personal appearance of Jesus very likely was not unique meaning that he looked like many other Jews.
Because the conception of Jesus involved “God the Holy Spirit” Luke 1:35 and “God the word” John 1:1 and 14,
While this unique process is not entirely clear it seems to me that the “Holy Spirit” placed the seed in Mary and the seed is “God the Word”.

Because our new birth is supernatural (Born of God) please consider 1st Peter 1:23 below.

1Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

God does the choosing, Romans 8:29, 1stJohn 5:1, John 15:19.

1Peter 1:23 For you have been born again, not by a seed that perishes but by one that cannot perish-by the living and everlasting word of God (written word).
1Peter 1:25 but the word of the Lord lasts forever.” Now this word is the good news (gospel) that was announced to you.

Acts16:14-15 gives us a crucial understanding of this process.

Acts 16:14 A woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple fabrics, a worshiper of God, was listening; and the Lord opened her heart to respond to the things spoken by Paul.
Acts 16:15 When she and her family were baptized, she urged us, “If you are convinced that I am a believer in the Lord, come and stay at my home.” And she continued to insist that we do so.

We have the nature of our natural birth father which comes from our grandfather Adam which is a corrupted nature, 1stPeter 1:18-19, 1st Corinthians 15:49.
Jesus was born of a virgin meaning his conception was supernatural and he was the 1st born and only begotten of God.
The virgin born Jesus also called the “man Christ Jesus” is the “body of God”.

Hebrews 10:5 Consequently, when Christ (God the Word) came into the world, he said, “Sacrifices and offerings you have not desired, but a body you have prepared for me;

Recorded about 750 years B.C

Isaiah 7:14 “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel. (God is with us)
Isaiah 7:15 “He will eat curds and honey at the time He knows
enough to refuse evil and choose good.
Isaiah 7:16 “For before the boy will know
enough to refuse evil and choose good,

Isaiah 7:15-16 is the humanity of the God-man Jesus Christ. God does not learn as God is omniscience, all knowing. God has always known everything, Isaiah 46:9-10, Psalm 139:3-4

The Deity of the God-man, who is God the Word, John 1:1,14, could not be tempted by any living or inanimate thing, James 1:13, and the humanity of the God-man, the man Christ Jesus was tempted in all ways here on earth and did not fail, Hebrews 4:14-15.

The humanity of the God-man through his mother is also called the “Son of Man”, the “Son of David” grandson of King David who lived 1000 years before the birth of Jesus.
When God completes, conforms, the regenerated elect of God to the image of Jesus Christ we will be minus our old Adam sourced sin nature which is inherited from our forefathers, 1stPeter 1:18-19, 1stCorinthians 15:49.

John 14:8 And Philip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.
John 14:9 Jesus said to him, Am I so long a time with you, and you have not known Me, Philip? The
one seeing Me has seen the Father! And how do you say, Show us the Father?
John 14:10 Do you not believe that I am
in the Father and the Father is in Me? The Words which I speak to you I do not speak from Myself, but the Father who abides in Me, He does the works. Hebrews 1:1-3
John 14:11 Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me; but if not, believe Me because of the works themselves.

Works that Messiah would do according to the prophets of Israel, Luke 7:20,22, Isaiah 35:5-6, Isaiah 61:1. Bible Scholars claim that more than 300 prophecies were fulfilled by Jesus with many more to be fulfilled in the “day of the Lord” beginning before/about the second coming.
