Jesus in Genesis:

Luke 3:23 And Jesus Himself was beginning to be about thirty years old, being, as was supposed, the son of Joseph, the grandson of Heli,

Was supposedhere is referring to the childhood of Jesus who was raised under the guardianship of His step father Joseph.  

The grandfather of Jesus was Heli who was the father of Mary, the mother of Jesus.

By the age of 12, Luke 2:42-52 Jesus understood that His birth father was God but this was not publically known until His water baptism by John the Baptist. 

The water baptism of Jesus began the ministry of Jesus which lasted for about 3 years ending in His crucifixion and resurrection.

The purpose of Luke’s genealogy is to trace the “seed of the woman”, Genesis 3:15which became Jesus “the Body of God, Hebrews 10:5, Colossians 2:8-9” to Adam.  

The origin of the seed was Adam. The seed was transferred to the woman Eve when she was removed from the man who is called Adam, Genesis 2:20-24.

This also made Jesus the “first born of all creation” as he was the first seed to be transferred from Adam to Eve and eventually became Jesus, Colossians 1:15 and the “first born from the dead”, Colossians 1:18. 

Jesus is the only One resurrected from the dead although many have been temporarily returned to mortal life called resuscitation to die again at a later time, John 11:11-45, 2Corinthians 12:1-4, 1Corinthians 15:22-23.

Hebrews 9:27 says “it is given unto mankind once to die and then the judgment”.  This is telling us what normal is.  When things occur outside of normal we call that a miracle meaning not normal and that is what resuscitation is.

The first seed was protected from the “fall of mankind” by being in the woman and was transferred through the genealogy of Luke to the Virgin Mary where it was caused to germinate by the Holy Spirit and became Jesus the “Body of God”, Luke 1:26-35, Colossians 2:8-9.

Because  Adam and Eve were removed from the “Garden of Eden” they or their descendents no longer had access to the “tree of the knowledge of Good and evil” which protected the “seed of the woman” when in a male descendent.

The Devil tried to destroy the seed by killing Abel but the seed was passed through Seth and not Abel.

Luke 3:24 and Heli was the son of Matthat, the son of Levi, the son of Melchi, the son of Janna, the son of Joseph,

Luke 3:25  the son of Mattathias, the son of Amos, the son of Nahum, the son of Esli, the son of Naggai,

Luke 3:26  the son of Maath, the son of Mattathias, the son of Semei, the son of Joseph, the son of Judah,

Luke 3:27  the son of Joannas, the son of Rhesa, the son of Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, the son of Neri,

Luke 3:28  the son of Melchi, the son of Addi, the son of Cosam, the son of Elmodam, the son of Er,

Luke 3:29  the son of Joses, the son of Eliezer, the son of Jorim, the son of Matthat, the son of Levi,

Luke 3:30  the son of Simeon, the son of Judah, the son of Joseph, the son of Jonan, the son of Eliakim,

Luke 3:31  the son of Melea, the son of Menan, the son of Mattatha, the son of Nathan, the son of David,

Luke 3:32  the son of Jesse, the son of Obed, the son of Boaz, the son of Salmon, the son of Nahshon,  

Luke 3:33  the son of Amminadab, the son of Aram, the son of Hezron, the son of Pharez, the son of Judah,

Luke 3:34  the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham, the son of Terah, the son of Nahor,

Luke 3:35  the son of Serug, the son of Reu, the son of Peleg, the son of Eber, the son of Salah,

Luke 3:36  the son of Cainan, the son of Arphaxad, the son of Shem, the son of Noah, the son of Lamech,  

Luke 3:37  the son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Mahalaleel, the son of Cainan;

Luke 3:38  son of Enos, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.

The first Adam was also a “son of God” but when he sinned he died spiritually becoming a “Soulish man” only which is translated “Natural Man, 1Corinthians 2:14, 15:45-51”.

The “son of God” as used here probably means that he, Adam was a finished product being exactly what God made him to be.

As a new creation the faithful men and women are being conformed to the image of Jesus, Romans 8:29 becoming “sons of God”.  Faithfulness is measured by the Bible and not by “human view point”.

The descendants of Adam, men and women are all born of mothers as “living souls” but spiritually dead including you and me.

Adam and Eve were restored to God through regeneration but having lived long lives they learned the consequences of bad decisions and witnessed much misery.

Because we were born “spiritually dead but Soulish, natural people” our only choice is for or against the Gospel which is repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ our “Sin offering”, Acts 20:20-21, Luke 24:45-47 which is obedience to or rejection of the Eternal God and righteousness, 1John 5:3,  1Corinthians 15:21-22, John 16:7-11.

1John 3:10  By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.

Love here is charitable love meaning a love not based on the persons merit but on their need as God has loved us, 1Corinthians chapter 13, KJV.

The Serpent of Old, Revelation 12:9, 20:2:

 Genesis 3:14  And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

Satan is Spirit and can take on different forms such as the Serpent and the “King of Tyre”, Ezekiel 28:12-19 but he can be resisted and does not have the ability to control whosoever he desires as the host must agree by word or by deed such as Adolph Hitler and Joseph Stalin and many others, Matthew 8:28-34. 

Fortune tellers or soothsayers have familiar, Satanic Spirits, Acts 16:16-18.  What is real is not always Godly.  There are many false teachings, Hebrews 4:12. 

So, read your Bible and get connected to a gifted Bible teacher.

If your Bible class spends a lot of time finger pointing at other denominations and world view point and not teaching Jesus Christ, Revelation 2:4 then you should find another Bible class as the person of Jesus Christ is the focal point of Christianity and He is the solution to world problems and only He can and will resolve them during His reign in the “Kingdom of Heaven”.  All other fixes are temporary at best.   

Satan’s Influence:

Ephesians 2:1  And you were dead in your trespasses and sins,

Ephesians 2:2  in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.

Ephesians 2:3  Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by our sinful  nature children of wrath, even as the rest.

Apostles in training:

Matthew 16:21  From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

Matthew 16:22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.

Matthew 16:23  But He, Jesus  turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Peter, just like the rest of us, made a statement based upon his training in “Human view point” also called the “World view point” which comes from Satan.

Because Peter was raised in the same earthly environment that we are even though not in the same time period, he was full of “Human view point” just as we are.

God’s plan for believers is to move beyond world view point to an accurate knowledge of Himself and His plan for His creation, Ephesians 4:11-25.    

Eternal Spiritual profit versus Temporary Earthly Wealth:

Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Matthew 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul, Galatians 6:8 ?

The Seed that became Jesus:

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel.

This is an allegory that is meant to highlight the war between the seed of the Serpent who becomes the “Son of Satan” and the seed of the woman who became Jesus.

The “Son of Satan” is probably the False Prophet of Israel, John 5:43.

2Thessalonians 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains, the Holy Spirit will do so until He is taken out of the way at the Church Rapture.

2Thessalonians 2:8  Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;

2Thessalonians 2:9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders,

2Thessalonians 2:10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved.

The Beast of the revived Roman Empire works with the False Prophet as a team during the 70^th week of the Prophet Daniel which is post Rapture.

The Beast is probably not a person but a political system that died after Rome ceased to be a world power.

This system will be revived for a short time and will have dominion over the Mediterranean world.

The Beast will meet against other world powers at Armageddon probably to fight for world dominion, Revelation 16:12-14.

At that time Jesus Christ will suddenly appear with His armies through a wide opening, door between the Heavens and will destroy all the armies of planet Earth by the brightness of His coming and the breath of His mouth.

Their tongues will melt in their mouth and their flesh will dissolve on their bones as they stand vertically erect.  There will probably be no return fire as it will happen very quickly.       

When the redemption of all generations is complete this contest will end at Armageddon with Jesus Christ as the victor and He will rule planet Earth from Jerusalem for 1000 years. 

At the end of the 1000 years Satan will be released from his prison for a short period of time to gather the unredeemed in a fatal attempt at rebellion.  

God will destroy them and planet earth with fire and brimstone which are probably asteroids, meteorites that have entered our atmosphere and are set ablaze by friction and oxygen much like the one that blew up over Russia in February of 2013.

Satan was judged at Calvary and 1000 years after Armageddon he will be  thrown into the “Lake of Fire” where the Beast and False Prophet have been since Armageddon.   

At this time the second resurrection and the “Great White Throne” will occur with Jesus presiding as Judge, Acts 17:31 with the redeemed Saints looking on.

Books containing the life histories of the unredeemed will be opened and the losers will be thrown into the “Lake of Fire” and will remain there for eternity as the defeated foes of Jesus Christ, Luke 24:47, Acts 3:26, Acts 17:30-31,  Acts 20:20-21.

If Evil continued in authority the creation would be destroyed as it is much too fragile to constantly be under siege and the authority of the destroyer, Romans 8:20, Revelation  11:18, 2Thessalonians 2:7.

The seed is passed from Abraham to Isaac through Sarah:

Galatians 3:16  But the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his Seed (it does not say, And to seeds, as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” which is Christ). Genesis 3:15; 21:12; 22:18, Rom. 9:6; Heb. 11:18

First and second born: 

Genesis 21:12  And God said to Abraham, Let it not be evil in your eyes because of the boy, Ishmael, Abrahams first born and patriarch of the Arabic people  and on account of your slave-girl, Hagar, the mother of Ishmael .  All that Sarah says to you listen to her voice, for in Isaac your Seed shall be called.

Ishmael was circumcised and his God was Yahweh, the God of Abraham.  

Isaac is the second born of Abraham who is the father of FAITH in the TRUE GOD who is not the God of Abraham’s ancestors who were Idolaters, Romans 4:16. 

Abraham demonstrated his faith through his works, James 2:17-18.

Beginning with Abel the second born of Adam and Eve, those born of the Spirit are the ones who receive the Blessing.  As Abel was murdered by Cane the blessing was passed to Seth.  

Until the time of Jesus it was not entirely clear what the blessing meant.

For those men and other men and women not mentioned as well as us the blessing comes with regeneration, being born from above, being born again giving us the ability to communicate with God through prayer and illumination of God’s word, the Bible and to walk with God and to be joint heirs with Jesus.

The first birth is the flesh, body through a mother and we are all born spiritually dead. 

The second birth is being born again by regeneration of the Spirit, John 3:3-10.  Because of the Old Testament examples Nicodemus should have caught on but he did not probably because he did not understand the principals, metaphors.

The second born of the flesh is a type with regeneration being the  reality. 

Types are used of God to precondition people to principles so that when they see the reality such as the “Lamb of God” the light bulb in their head should come on.

This allows God to hide truth from some and yet reveal it to those who seek God and His righteousness, Matthew7:7-8, 1Corinthians 2:7, Revelation 2:17.

I was born with a twin and he was the first born of my parents.  Donnie was born again and is currently with the Lord in Paradise in the 3^rd Heaven.  I am the only surviving member of my immediate family plus one nephew and his family. 

God has allowed Satan to currently have possession of planet earth but Satan has never owned it. 

Satan is useful to God to demonstrate the contrast between Evil and Righteousness in a “show and tell” process.

God gave possession of planet earth to Jesus Christ who will take possession at Armageddon.      

Don’t forget 1John 1:9 as Christ is our permanent sacrifice for all sins committed but it is better not to sin and avoid possible discipline as this verse also promises to cleanse us from all sin.
