The “BODY OF CHRIST” the Church is never mentioned in the plural as are “LOCAL CHURCHES” as there are many local churches and denominations.
The redeemed of the Church age, Romans 8:28-29 are all members of the BODY OF CHRIST without regard to Nationality, Gender, Status or Church affiliation. They are all sanctified, Sainted by God and were known by God before the foundation of the World, Ephesians 1:4-7.
In the so called FOLK LORE of mankind there are different accounts of a WORLD WIDE FLOOD, a deluge that destroyed the primitive earth and killed most of the land based world inhabitants.
Although the details differ from one tale to the next they are all similar.
A number of cultures in the world believe that God has visited His creation and has a plan for the redemption of the Human Race with some of these stories being quite bizarre.
One source shows 35 such persons who have claimed to be the MESSIAH sent by God and some of these were Israelis.
The list of FAKERS is actually much longer than 35 as many Rulers on planet Earth claimed to be God incarnate, in the flesh including the Pharaohs of Egypt and Caesars of Rome.
So, is there a common thread here ?? Yes, of course!
We have a common ancestor whose descendents have populated the entire planet earth and he with 7 other people were not only in the flood but they survived the flood because he, Noah was obedient to God, building an ark, actually a barge, that floated on the flood waters, Hebrews 11:7.
The problem for the Angelic race and Human race is and always has been obedience to righteousness from their volition, Acts 5:32.
God first made the Angelic beings, the HOST OF HEAVEN and much later He made Humans giving all of them volition, self will with intellect. Although this makes us dangerous we will never be ROBOTS.
Through self will, volition 1/3 of the Angels moved with Satan against God.
At least some of them were by some means able to sire offspring, Genesis 6:2,4, where as the 2/3rds who are called the ANGELS OF GODeither were unable to or voluntarily in obedience neither wed or had offspring on planet earth, Matthew 22:30.
Very likely the Church, the BODY OF CHRIST will replace the rebelling 1/3rd of the Angels but we will not be Angels and we will be higher, greater in power than they, Hebrews 1:4, 1John 3:2.
In the Ark were 7 clean animals and 2 unclean animals and probably amphibious species with sufficient provisions for man and beast.
It is interesting to note that at least some Reptiles, lizards continue growing though ought their lives implying that longer years as before the flood may have allowed them to become Dinosaurs or God may have programmed the species to go extent.
Job chapter 40:15-40 and Job chapter 41 talk about large beast that probably were Dinosaurs.
As teenagers in California my Dad took us hunting in the mountains. There is sea shells scattered all over the mountains proving that at one time they were under salt water.
Some would argue about when they were under sea water. Skeptics are inventors of controversy and usually are blow-hearts without substance.
While some are trying to prove their assumptions about the ORIGIN OF THE SPECIES by science, knowledge from observable evidence they always fall short of proof through science and resort to some form of modern Darwinism meaning they have to hammer their specimens as they don’t quite fit or they are contradicted by factual, verifiable scientific evidence.
One of the so called profound evidences for ancient man turned out to be the tooth of an extinct pig, and on it goes.
Scientist search for evidence that will either support their hypothesis, theory or prove it to be wrong.
Darwinist believe in some form of natural selection and evolution with contradicting evidence only changing their direction and exploitation of nature science.
Charles Darwin said that in 100 years the fossil evidence would prove his theory to be right or wrong. The 100 years have come and gone more than 50 years ago so, where is the proof?
The evidence of a creator is extremely compelling, Romans chapter1.
Looking into a mirror we see the symmetry and alignment of our external parts with real science showing us the complexity of our inner physical parts.
No one would believe that a Chevrolet automobile just popped up out of the ground without designers and builders.
Intellect and volition, self will should not be wasted on nonsense as many have done.
Genesis, the Beginning
The story of Genesis, the book of beginnings comes to us from the Pen of Moses and not from Noah but Noah who was a PREACHER OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, 2Peter 2:5, was privy to the same information by the same God as well as having lived in those times before and after the flood which he shared with his descendants and they also shared with their descendants, etc;. Apparently this was mouth to mouth with error creeping in. God apparently wanted an accurate accounting which He gave to Israel through Moses.
The information that we have was given to Moses by God who talked FACE TO FACEwith Moses, Exodus 24:18, 33:9-14, and the information was recorded by Moses probably verbatim, word for word, by verbal inspiration also called plenary inspiration meaning complete, Deuteronomy 29:29, Daniel 2:22.
1Corinthians 13:8-13 tells us that God speaks with us FACE TO FACE through the completed Bible and His Holy Spirit, see also 2Timothy 3:16-17 (man in verse 17 of 2Timothy should be translated mankind meaning men and women).
Excerpts from Genesis
Genesis 3:14 And Jehovah God said to the serpent, Because you have done this, you are cursed above all beasts, and above every animal of the field. You shall go on your belly, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life.
Yes, God punished the serpent. In Luke 8:32 Christ gave permission to a number of demons to enter a herd of swine. The swine, pigs then rushed down the hill into a lake of water and drowned themselves. Apparently even animals can resist the Devil and his demons.
Animals have intellect and personality and yes they do reason but at lower levels than humans with simple solutions as they are primarily creatures of instinct which is built in behavior patterns. You will probably never see a mouse attack a cat.
There is or was a Gorilla in Ellensburg, Washington state who communicated with humans with sign and picture language with a very large number of terms but never vocalized words even though some Birds and even a dog have done that.
Animals are basically dumb meaning they do not communicate with articulated speech but their uttered noises apparently communicate within their species.
I am not sure what meow means but pussycats use it when trying to get our attention.
God put man in charge of His creatures and our appointment is still valid even though Satan still walks the planet earth.
God has subjected the entire creation to futility with restoration eagerly awaiting the revealing of the Sons of God, Romans 8:19-23.
Satan is a thief and a robber and a liar with his appointed demise already posted, Revelation 20:10.
Genesis 3:15-16 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He will bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.
Note here that HER SEED is a HE, a male off spring of the woman, a virgin birth and not of the seed of her husband who is Adam. Eve is not the selected woman but passed the seed through the genealogy of luke 3:23-38.
This is the first promise of a redeemer who is Messiah but this will not come to pass for another 4000 years with the Virgin Mary, a distant grand-daughter of Eve. The Messiah will be Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of God, the Son of Man.
Genesis 4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife, the LOSS OF VIRGINITY; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man, her first born from the LORD, KJV.
From, meaning source is correctly translated here from the Hebrew and probably means that Eve thinks she has born the Messiah promised in Genesis 3:15, see above, but the context, see 4:1, tells us that her newborn is of the SEED OF ADAM.
The information here is quite sketchy and merely states the fact but not the WHO and may allow a person, male or female to leap to an unwarranted conclusion, see 2Peter 3:16-17.
A number of the descendants of Adam and then Noah have erroneously leaped to that conclusion saying and even thinking that they are God in the flesh. An Israeli called the FALSE PROPHET will very soon, POST RAPTURE, do that very thing claiming to be the Messiah of Israel, John 5:43, Revelation 13:11.
Pre-flood corruption
2Peter 2:4 For if God did not spare sinning angels, but delivered them to chains of darkness, thrust down into Tartarus, (below Hades) having been kept to judgment;
2Peter 2:5 and did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah the eighth, a herald of righteousness, bringing a flood on a world of ungodly ones;
Genesis 6:4 The Nephilim, Giants, were on the earth in those days, and also afterward (after the flood), when the sons of God (angels, Job 1:6, Jude 1:6) came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those (children) were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. Angels come in different sizes. Some, Seraphs,
have six wings and some, Cherubs have two to four wings, and some have the form of men, see Genesis chapter 18-19, Hebrews 13:2.
These are foolish men judging God
2Peter 3:3 Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, (desires)
2Peter 3:4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.”
2Peter 3:5 For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God (the Old Testament) the heavens existed long ago (Genesis 1:1,8 KJV) and the earth (dry land) was formed (Genesis 1:2) out of water (land under water) and by water (Hydrology),
2Peter 3:6 through which (water) the world at that time (about 1500 years after Genesis 1:6) was destroyed, being flooded with water (the water canopy, Genesis 1:6, collapsed by raining for 40 days and 40 nights).
2Peter 3:7 But the present heavens and earth (our universe) by His word are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men (the Great White Throne Judgment, the Lake of Fire, Revelation 20:13-15).
The Jews that Peter was writing to probably understood exactly what Peter was saying without the parenthetical elements as many of them were well versed in the Old Testament but us Gentiles find it helpful.
