EXPLICIT BIBLE TRUTH
JESUS
Who is He?
What is He?
Why is He?
REDEMPTION:
Hoover Dam, Boeing 747âs, Modern medicine and other accomplishments of Mankind come from
The Genius of Mankind.
The Genius of Mankind,
Comes from the Eternal God who is
Yahweh, Jehovah, Jesus Christ.
Daniel chapter 9:
25A Know then and understand that from the going out of a word to restore and to rebuild Jerusalem, (Nehemiah chapter 2), TO MESSIAH THE PRINCE, shall be seven weeks and sixty two weeks, (69 weeks, 482 years).
25B The (Main) street of Jerusalem shall be built again (in the early part of the 482 year period) and the wall, even in times of affliction.
26 And AFTER the sixty two weeks period, (482 years) MESSIAH SHALL BE CUT OFF, but NOT FOR HIMSELF. And the people of A COMING RULER (see next Daniel 9:27) (THE ROMAN EMPIRE) shall destroy the city (Jerusalem) and the sanctuary (in 70 A.D). And its end shall be with the FLOOD (Revelation 12:15-16, Earth opening possibly means graves) and ruins are determined, and WAR SHALL BE UNTIL THE END.
27 “And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week (the last week, the 70th week), but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured (Armageddon, 2Thessalonians 2:8) out on the one who makes desolate.”
The 482 years ended with the âTRIAMPFUL ENTRY OF JESUS INTO JERUSALEMâ, Luke 19:29-44.
The 70th week the last 7 years was delayed for the age of the Gentiles and will begin at the Rapture of the Church ending at Armageddon, the finish of the 490 year time line that began at Nehemiah chapter 2.
The Roman Empire did not exist when this prophecy was given at about 600 BC.
The Babylon Empire, the Medes and Persian Empire, and the Empire of Alexander would precede the Roman Empire, Daniel chapter 2.
CUT OFF is an idiom like rubbed out or erased and means to be killed.
FLOOD here is an idiom and probably means with overriding unstoppable force.
The END here is the end of war which will be Armageddon, the last war, moving us into the âKingdom of Heavenâ lasting for 1000 years.
So why was messiah cut off?
Luke chapter 22:
41 And He, Jesus withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down to pray,
42 saying, “Father, IF THOU ART WILLING, remove this cup from Me; YET NOT MY WILL, but THINE BE DONE.”
This context is a demonstration of obedience by the humanity of the God-man Jesus Christ to the will of His father who is the Eternal God.
Jesus could not be raised from the dead if He was not dead and neither could He complete prophecy.
As God is omniscient, all knowing this is for the benefit of the redeemed that are not omniscient but have eyes and ears.
Because Jesus was resurrected from the dead, Acts17:31-34 all those who believe on Him, Romans 4:22-25 will be conformed to His image, Romans 8:28-30 and our old man will disappear, Romans chapter 6 and the new man will be victorious.
See also Isaiah chapter 53:
Acts chapter 2:
22 “Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a MAN attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know–
23 this Man, delivered up by the PREDETERMINED PLAN and FOREKNOWLEDGE OF GOD, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men (Romans) and put Him to death.
24 “And God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power.
Romans chapter 10:
01 Brethren, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God for them (Israel) is for salvation.
02 I testify about them that they (Israel) have zeal for God, but NOT IN ACCORDANCE WITH KNOWLEDGE.
03 For not knowing about God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.
Because Israel could not keep the âLaw of Righteousnessâ, the commandments of God they modified, changed the Law to a different law through commentaries that they could be comfortable with but their changes did not change the original law but only led them into error. The righteousness of God comes to us as it did to Abraham which is by faith, Romans 4:1-3, Genesis 15:6. Only Jesus kept the commandments of God.
Luke chapter 10:
25 Behold, a certain lawyer stood up, testing Him and saying, Teacher, What shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
26 And He said to him, what has been written in the Law? How do you read it?
27 And answering, he said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength,” and with ALL YOUR MIND, and “your neighbor as yourself.” Deuteronomy 6:5, Leviticus 19:18,
28 And He said to him, you have answered rightly; do this, and YOU SHALL LIVE.
The problem is, we do not keep these commandments even though we would like to thus necessitating a Savior, someone to intervene for us to qualify us and He Himself must be qualified becoming the pattern of perfection.
Romans chapter 10 continued:
04 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
05 For Moses wrote that the man who practices the righteousness which is based on law shall live by that righteousness.
06 But the righteousness based on faith speaks as follows: “DO NOT SAY IN YOUR HEART, ‘WHO WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN?’, That is, to bring Christ down,
07 or ‘WHO WILL DESCEND INTO THE ABYSS?’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).”
08 But what does it say? “THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART”–that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
09 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
11 For the Scripture says, “WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.”
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;
13 for “WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.”
14 How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?
15 How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!”
16 However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, “LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?”
17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
18 But I say, surely they have never heard, have they? Indeed they have; “THEIR VOICE HAS GONE OUT INTO ALL THE EARTH, AND THEIR WORDS TO THE ENDS OF THE WORLD.”
19 But I say, surely Israel did not know, did they? First Moses says, “I WILL MAKE YOU JEALOUS BY THAT WHICH IS NOT A NATION, BY A NATION WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING WILL I ANGER YOU.”
20 And Isaiah is very bold and says, “I WAS FOUND BY THOSE WHO DID NOT SEEK ME, I BECAME MANIFEST TO THOSE WHO DID NOT ASK FOR ME.”
21 But as for Israel He says, “ALL THE DAY LONG I HAVE STRETCHED OUT MY HANDS TO A DISOBEDIENT AND OBSTINATE PEOPLE.”
