The Righteous God

EXPLICIT BIBLE TRUTH
Jesus
Who is he
What is he
Why is he

Isaiah chapter 28:

10*For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: KJV

Matthew chapter 7:

8*For everyone who keeps asking will receive, and the person who keeps searching will find, and the person who keeps knocking will have the door opened. ISV

Romans chapter 5:

19*For as through the one man’s disobedience (Adam) the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One (man, Christ Jesus) the many will be made righteous (righteousness is the gift of God, Romans 3:21-24, Eph. 2:8-10, ISV, KJV).

TODAY’S COMMENTS

“The Righteous God”

Romans chapter #2 reveals that the law being presented in this context is the Moral Law, the 10 commandments, Deuteronomy 5:1-22. They are first listed in the “Law of Moses” which is the first five books of the Bible.

Romans chapter #4 reveals that the faith being presented here is the same faith that Abraham had and that faith is faith in God who is the righteous God, Romans 4:22-25.

Because Romans chapter #3 is between Romans chapter #2 and chapter #4 they are of the same context and work together for our understanding, therefore; we understand that Law here is primarily referring to the 10 commandments and that Faith here is referring to faith in the Righteous God.

Romans chapter 3:

19*Now we know that whatever the law says applies to those who are under the law (the Moral Law, the 10 commandments), so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God, (Acts 17:29-31).

20*Therefore, no human being will be justified in God’s sight by means of the works prescribed by the law, for through the law comes the full knowledge of sin (For sin see: Revelation 21:7-8, 1Corinthians 6:9-11).

21*But now, apart from the law, God’s righteousness is revealed and is attested (witnessed) by the Law (the Law of Moses) and the Prophets (Luke 24:25-27)-

The revealing of God’s Righteousness!

Luke chapter 24:

44*And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me, (Jesus).

45*Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, (the Old Testament)

46*And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

47*And that repentance (toward God) and remission of sins (Acts 20:20-21) should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

48*And ye are witnesses of these things.(The Bible contains many eye witness accounts)

Romans chapter 3:

22*God’s righteousness (Is demonstrated) through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ for all who believe (believe in the righteous God, Romans 4:22-25). For there is no distinction, (no gender or nationality),

23*since all (all is the entire human race) have sinned and continue to fall short of God’s glory.

24*By his (God’s) grace they (those believing in the righteous God), Romans 4:22-25) are justified freely (by God) through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

25*whom God offered as a place where atonement by Christ’s blood could occur through faith (faith in God his father). He (God) did this to demonstrate his (God‘s) righteousness, because he (God) had waited patiently to deal with sins committed in the past (ages, eons),

The successful ministry of Jesus Christ through calvary effects all humans including Israel and back to and including Adam and Eve. Place here means: THE RIGHTEOUS LIFE AND OBEDIENCE OF JESUS CHRIST UNTO DEATH is the focal point here for atonement. The righteous God indwelt Jesus of Nazareth the Son of the Virgin Mary, Deuteronomy 18:18-19, Acts 7:37. The Holy Spirit, who is the anointing, John 1:32-33 rested upon Jesus who was indwelt by “God the Word”, John 1:14, who in the Old Testament is called Jehovah, Hebrews 1:2-3, John 1:1-3, Genesis 1:1, the chosen agent of the God head, He is the God of creation.

Romans chapter 3:

26*He (God) wanted to demonstrate at the present time that He himself (God) is righteous and that he (God) justifies the person who has the faithfulness of Jesus.

The name of God was blasphemed among the gentiles by the Evil living of those who claimed to represent God, Romans 2:23-24. As we see Jesus in God’s word we understand what God is like personally. Those that hate Jesus Christ also hate God as Jesus is the exact image of His Father who is God, Hebrews 1:3, John 14:8-10.

27*What, then, is there to boast about? That has been eliminated. On what principle? On that of works? No, but on the principle of faith (faith in the righteous God, Romans 4:22-25).

28*For we maintain that a person is justified by faith (faith in the righteous God, Romans 4:22-25) apart from the works prescribed by the law (the Moral Law, the 10 commandments).

We believe in the righteous God and we would like to be righteous but we ourselves are not self righteous. The life of Jesus was totally righteous. We are committed to living righteously but while in the flesh we fail. The burden of the flesh will be lifted at our death or the rapture but in the mean time we have 1John 1:9.

Jesus Christ is the visible image of the invisible God, Hebrews 1:3, 2Corintians 4:4. To see Jesus Christ “Face to Face” either in His person or looking into the Bible by means of the Spirit of God is to appear before God and to know what God has revealed about Himself and the future, Exodus 33:11, 1Corinthians 13:12.

Before appearing in the person of His Son, Hebrews 1:1-3, Deuteronomy 18:18, God made appearances in the “Burning Bush”, a “Pillar of Fire” and a “Thick Cloud” to Moses and to Israel, Exodus 13:21 & Exodus 19:9, He is always covered when appearing before mortals. Jesus lived his life in 100% obedience resulting in death as a demonstration of his complete submission unto the will of his father and faith in his father who is God.

Many who believe in a God, such as the Pharisees, hate righteousness and were more than willing to execute the righteous “Son of God” which God worked to our good, Romans 8:28-39. Satan is the “God of this world”€ 2nd Corinthians 4:3-4 and 2nd Corinthians 11:13-15. Satan is the God of many religious people including the Pharisees, John 8:41-47.

Repentance toward the righteous God is the Key to “Eternal Life”, Acts 17:29-31. The life of Jesus is the 100% representation of the righteousness of God.

Romans chapter 3:

29*Is God the God of the Jews only? Is he not the God of the gentiles, too? Yes, of the gentiles, too,

30*since there is only one God who will justify the circumcised (Jews) on the basis of faith and the uncircumcised (Gentiles) by that same faith.

31*Do we, then, abolish the law by this faith (faith in the righteous God)? Of course not! Instead, we uphold the law.
