EXPLICIT BIBLE TRUTH
Jesus
Who is He
What is He
Why is He
The Spirit of Prophecy:
Revelation 19:10 And I, the Apostle John fell before his, the Angel’s feet to worship him, but he said to me, Behold! Stop! I am a fellow-slave, fellow servant to God, Jehovah with you and with your brothers having the testimony of Jesus. Worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
Jesus in Prophecy:
Luke 24:44 And He, Jesus Christ said to them, These are the Words which I spoke to you yet being with you, that all the things must be fulfilled having been written in the Law of Moses, and the Prophets, and the Psalms, concerning Me.
Luke 24:45 Then He opened up their mind, intellect to: understand the Scriptures, Acts 16:14,
Luke 24:46 and said to them, So it is written, and so the Christ must suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day.
Luke 24:47 And repentance and remission of sins must be preached on, by means of His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
His name because of the successful completion of the work that God the Father sent Him to do as outlined in the Old Testament; the Law of Moses, The Psalms, and the Prophets resulting in salvation to all believers including Old Testament believers.
The red andabove, verse 24:47 is a conjunction and links repentance and remission of sins together making them work together meaning remission of sins comes from repentance toward Jehovah God who is righteous as measured by the commandments of God, Acts 17:30-31, Acts 20:20-21 in the name of Jesus Christ, meaning that if Jesus Christ had not successfully completed His ministry as defined by the prophecies of the Law of Moses, the Psalms, and the old testament prophets then God would not have been able to resurrect Jesus from the dead or to offer repentance to the Human Race, 1Corinthians 15:1-8.
However; there never was a chance, Acts 13:32-35, Psalm 16:10 that God’s plan would fail as only fallen created beings from the first Adam fail due to our weakness which will be corrected by being conformed to the image of Jesus Christ, Romans 8:29 and we are currently in process, Ephesians 2:10, 4:29-32, Philippians 1:6, Romans 12:1-2.
The humanity of Jesus Christ came to us as the âSeed of the womanâ, Genesis 3:14-15 and was protected through the woman and passed through the genealogy as presented in the book of Luke.
See the âSeed of the Womanâ in the menu.
The Greek word translated repentance means to âchange your mindâ meaning the knowledge of âGood and Evilâ is part of our conscious mind.
Choosing good, righteousness will eventually lead to perfection through our volition by making righteous choices and by the âpower of Godâ even though we still currently sin from time to time but do not live in sin, 1John 1:8-10, 1John 3:9-10 (N.A.S.B) as the KJV is a little fuzzy on this.
Jesus Christ paid for the penalty of Breaking the commandments of God but He did not nullify, dismiss the moral commandments of God and they are still the standard, measure of sin and righteousness.
Luke 24:48 And you, the apostles are witnesses of these things.
Luke 24:49 And, behold, I send forth the promise of My Father on you, the Vicar of Christ, the Holy Spirit, John 14:16-18. But you sit in the city of Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on high.
Luke 24:50 He led them out as far as to Bethany. And lifting up His hands, He blessed them.
Luke 24:51 And it happened as He blessed them, He withdrew from them and was carried into Heaven.
Luke 24:52 And worshiping Him, they returned to Jerusalem with great joy,
Luke 24:53 and were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
A Prophecy of the Christ
in the Law of Moses:
Deuteronomy 18:18 I, Jehovah will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren the sons of Jacob, Israel like unto thee, Moses and will put my words in his mouth; and He shall speak unto them all that I shall command Him.
Deuteronomy 18:19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him, that person hearing but not heeding His words will be held accountable, John 5:43-44.
Repeated in Acts:
Acts 3:22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren the sons of Jacob, Israel like unto Me, Moses Him, Jesus shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
Acts 3:23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people, Israel and then Gentiles.
Acts 3:24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
Acts 3:25 Ye, the sons of Jacob, Israelare the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds, nationalities of the earth be blessed.
Galatians 3:16 But the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his Seed (it does not say, And to seeds, as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” which is Christ), Genesis 3:15, 21:12-13, 22:18, Rom. 9:6-8; Hebrews 11:17-19.
Acts 3:26 Unto you first, the sons of Jacob, Israel God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, the sons of Jacob, Israel in turning away every one of you from his iniquitieswhich is repentance which is also preached to the Gentiles, Acts 17:3o-31.
A Prophecy of the Christ
through the Prophet Daniel about 600 b.c:
Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks, 490 years are decreed as to your people, Judah a tribe of Israel and as to your holy city, Jerusalem to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make atonement for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.
Daniel 9:25 Know, then, and understand that from the going out of a word to restore and to rebuild Jerusalem, to Messiah the Prince, shall be seven weeks, 49 years and sixty two weeks, 434 years, (49 +434=483 years).
The clock, time line started in Nehemiah chapter 2 and stopped at the birth of Messiah.
The crucifixion of Jesus Christ occurred some 32 years later, see Daniel 9:26 next.
The interm period between the 69th and 70thweek is referred to as the âAge, times of the Gentilesâ, Luke 21:24 and has lasted near, close to 2 thousand years and will end at the pre-tribulation Rapture, Revelation 4:1.
And so we have 1 week or 7 years remaining which will be the period of the âGreat Tribulationâ and then Jesus Christ returns at Armageddon.
The street of Jerusalem shall be built again, and the wall, even in times of affliction.
Daniel 9:26 And after sixty two weeks, the 62 week, 434 year segment, period of time verse 9:25 aboveMessiah shall be cut off, Killed but not for Himself. And the people of a coming ruler, Rome shall destroy the city and the sanctuary, in 70a.d . And its end shall be with a flood, Revelation 12:15-16 and ruins are determined, and war shall be until the end,
Armageddon is the end of war, the final war, and then the âKingdom of Heavenâ will arrive and last for 1000 years.
A Prophecy of Christ
a Psalm of King David
about 1000 b.c
Psalm 2:1 Why have the nations raged and the peoples are meditating on vanity, emptiness, futility, nonsense ?
Psalm 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves; yea, the rulers have plotted together against Jehovah and His Anointed, who will be Jesus, 1Timothy 2:5 saying
Psalm 2:3 âWe will break their bands in two, and throw off their cords from us.â
Psalm 2:4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord, Jehovah, the pre-incarnate God, Diety who took upon Himself the form of a man who was Jesus, the anointed of Jehovah, Hebrews 10:5,10 shall mock at them.
Psalm 2:5 Then He will speak to them in His anger, and He will terrify them in His wrath;
Psalm 2:6 Yea, I, King David, have set My king on My holy mount, on Zion.
Psalm 2:7 I, King David will declare concerning the decree of Jehovah,
The Decree of Jehovah:
The Holy Spirit, Acts 4:25-26 speaking through King David the Ghost writer of this Psalm, He said to Me: âYou are My Son, Today I have begotten You, Hebrews chapter 1.
Psalm 2:8 Ask of Me, and I will give the nations as Your inheritance; and the uttermost parts of the earth as Your possession.
Psalm 2:9 You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vesselâ.
Revelation 2:26 And the one overcoming, and the one keeping My works until the end, “I will give to him authority over the nations,”
Revelation 2:27 and “He will shepherd them with an iron staff” (they are “broken to pieces like clay vessels”), as I, Jesus also have received from My Father.
Psalm 2:10 Now, then, be wise, O kings; be taught, O judges of the earth:
Psalm 2:11 Serve Jehovah with fear; yea, rejoice with trembling.
Psalm 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Oh the blessings of all those who flee to Him for refuge!
The Prophet Isaiah
conerning Messiah, about 800 b.c:
Isaiah 53:1 Who has believed our report? And to whom is the arm of Jehovah revealed?
Isaiah 53:2 For He comes up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no form nor magnificence that we should see Him; nor form that we should desire Him.
Isaiah 53:3 He is despised and abandoned of men, a Man of pains, and acquainted with grief. And as it were hiding our faces from Him, He being despised, and we did not value Him.
Isaiah 53:4 Surely He has borne our grief, and He carried our pain; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.
Isaiah 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities;the chastisement of our peace was upon Him;and with His wounds we ourselves are healed.
Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have each one turned to his own way; and Jehovah madetolay on Him the iniquity of all of us, Acts 2:23.
Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, but He did not open His mouth. He was led as a lamb to the slaughter; and as a ewe before her shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth.
Isaiah 53:8 He was taken from prison and from justice; and who shall consider His generation? For He was cut off, Killed out of the land of the living; from the transgression of My people, the stroke was to Him.
Isaiah 53:9 And He appointed Him His grave with the wicked, but He was with a rich man in His death, Matthew 27:57-60; though He had done no violence, and deceit was not in His mouth.
Isaiah 53:10 But Jehovah pleased to crush Him, to make Him sick, so that If He should put His soul as a guilt offering, He shall see His seed; He shall prolong His days, be resurrected; and the will of Jehovah shall prosper in His hand.
Isaiah 53:11 He shall see the fruit of the travail of His soul; He shall be fully satisfied. By His knowledge the righteous One, My Servant, shall justify for many, and He shall bear their iniquities.
Isaiah 53:12 Because of this I will divide to Him, Jesus with the great, and with the strong He shall divide the spoil; because He poured out His soul to death; and He was counted with those transgressing; and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for those transgressing.
