“Why Jesus”

So: What does a Jewish man dying on a Roman Cross 2000 years ago have to do with us Gentiles?

Answer:
Everything!

Romans 5:19 For as by one man’s (Adam)
disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of One (the man, Christ Jesus) shall many be made righteous.
Made here is a verb in the passive voice meaning: The status, position of the many was caused by someone else (first Adam and then Jesus Christ).
Romans 11:32 For God shut up all into disobedience, that He may show mercy to all.

The Problem

So:
why is this our problem??

Answer: Because we all come from Adam and we all have a corrupted nature from Adam!
1Peter 1:18 For you know that it was not with perishable things like silver or gold that you have been ransomed from the worthless way of life handed down to you by your ancestors,

1Peter 1:19 but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood (life) of Christ. (the “Gift of God”)

John 1:29 The next day he *saw Jesus coming to him and *said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
Sin; is no longer a barrier between God and man. Volition, free will, enables us to make a choice for Righteousness, to be obedient to the God who raised our Lord Jesus from the dead, Romans 4:23-25, the God of Creation or the God of this age/world who is Satan, 2Corinthians 4:4, Ephesians 2:1-2 which is to serve the world system and trample the opposition.

Keeping the commandments of God provide a pleasant life style for us and is not difficult, 1John 3:21-23.

No one leads a sinless life but we strive to, 1John 1:9.

Serving Evil leads to misery and destruction.

We all Sin

Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through
one man (Adam), and death through sin, so death spread to everyone, because all have sinned, (through Adam).
We are not sinners because we sin but rather we sin because we are born sinners, even us nice people.

Lust of the eyes

Genesis 3:6 When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make
one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.

Operation Fig leaf

Genesis 3:7
Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loin coverings (their body’s were naked).

We are either awed or shocked by nakedness. Some feign being unimpressed and neutral. At older ages it is probably just shock. Young children could care less. Yes, this could all be related to puberty but was not a result of puberty, Genesis 4:1.

Eating of the forbidden tree was the first act of disobedience. Their eyes were opened. This does not mean they had been walking with their eyes shut but rather they were suddenly aware of their nakedness from their transformed status changing from innocent to guilty. Nothing had changed except their perception of circumstances, they had always been naked.

Passing the Blame

Genesis 3:12 And the man said, The woman whom
You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.

Adam first blamed God and then the woman putting himself in third place.

Genesis 3:13 And Jehovah God said to the woman, What is this you have done? And the woman said, The serpent deceived me, and I ate.
The woman omitted the part where she gave to her husband.

God blames the man Adam

Adam carried the seeds for the Human Race. What he did condemned the entire Human Race.

Genesis 3:17 And He said to the man, Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree about which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat from it, the ground shall be cursed because of you; you shall eat of it in sorrow all the days of your life, 1stTimothy 2:14.

1st Generation the result of a corrupted nature

Genesis 4:8 And Cain talked with his brother Abel. And it happened when they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel and killed (murdered) him.

The subsequent Generation’s

Romans 3:10 as it is written: “There is none righteous, no not one;
Romans 3:11 there is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God.”
Romans 3:12 “They are all gone out of the way,
they have together become unprofitable, there is none that does good no, not one.

 Promise of Redemption

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your
seed (probably the false Prophet) and her Seed (seed singular not seeds); He will bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.

A word image of a man stepping on the head of a snake. The snake strikes back. In the end the head wound will be fatal.

The woman of Genesis 3:15 very likely is not Eve but is the virgin Mary. The sons of Eve were sons and each one a seed of Adam. This is the first promise of a male descendant and redeemer (her seed,”He will bruise, his head”, Ephesians 1:22) the seed of the woman is not the seed of Adam. The male redeemer, the seed of the woman, the “Son of God“, was born some 4000 years later of the virgin Mary.

Sin Solution

1Pe 3:18 Because even Christ once suffered concerning sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God; indeed being put to death in
the flesh, but made alive in the Spirit; (3 days out of the Body returning to the body on the 4th day, his resurrection from the dead).

1Corinthians 15:21 For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead also came through a man.

1Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ will all be made alive.
1Corinthians 15:23 However, this will happen to each person in the proper order: first Christ, then those who belong to Christ when he comes. (and then 7years later the first resurection and 1000 years later the “Great White Throne” judgment for the balance of humanity). Those surviving Armaggedon alive will be judged at the “separation of the sheep and goats”, Matthew 25:32.
John 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, The one who hears My Word, and believes (the prophecies of scripture from) the One who has sent Me, has everlasting life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
John 3:20 For everyone practicing wickedness hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, that his works may not be exposed. Matthew 9:11-13
John 3:21 But the
one doing the truth comes to the Light, that his works may be revealed, that they exist, having been worked in God.

In the end the “Son of God” took the blame!
